Training and Support to Houston Area Law Enforcement Agencies on Proper Techniques for Seizing and Storing Computers and Computer Related Evidence

Any law enforcement agency in the GHRCFL's service area can request training for their personnel about the proper techniques to preserve computer and digital evidence during a seizure. Training is one of the most valuable services that an RCFL provides.

Seizing and Handling of Digital Evidence (Digital Evidence Processing)

This course teaches investigators how to collect and preserve digital evidence, while learning how to integrate digital evidence into a case. Additionally, investigators are exposed to the advanced tools and techniques used by the laboratory, so they can better understand what to expect from a forensics examination. This course replaces Collecting, Handling and Use of Digital Evidence, and requires no prerequisites. However, attendees should have a working knowledge of computers.
